Jennifer Abshire

Jennifer Abshire is CEO and founder of award-winning Abshire Public Relations, a minority owner of Lucky Savannah Vacation Rentals and busy in her husband’s floral and event company, John Davis Florist. Her firm has been selected best PR firm since 2015 by the readers of Savannah Magazine. Jennifer has two children, Phillip, 25, a recent graduate of Mercer Law, and Reilly, 21, a junior at the University of Alabama. Jennifer was a past recipient of Georgia Trend’s 40 Under 40 leadership award and was former Alumnus of the Year for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences for Georgia Southern University, where she received her B.A. in Public Relations. From 1992-1996 Jennifer served as the Executive Director of Savannah’s Olympic Committee, helping Savannah prepare for a successful 1996 Olympic Yachting Competition.  In 2000, Jennifer created Abshire Public Relations, providing counsel and strategy for over 100 regional companies and municipalities. A graduate and past program chair for Leadership Georgia, Leadership Savannah, and Leadership Southeast Georgia, Jennifer and Tal Johnson are the new co-chairs for LSEGA’s alumni program. Jennifer serves on the Georgia Chamber Board of Governors and serves on the advisory boards of the Savannah Economic Development Authority and Georgia Southern University’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

Talmadge R. Johnson, CPA, MAcc, graduated in 2004 from Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia with a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting. In 2007 he was awarded a master of accountancy degree from Georgia Southern University.  His hometown is Twin City, GA. Tal joined Dabbs, Hickman, Hill and Cannon, LLP in September 2005 and specializes in small business financial reporting, audit, tax planning and preparation and business advisory. In 2014, Tal was admitted as a partner.
